A Tour of Southern California

Southern California is a place of quite varied landscapes ranging from the densely populated cities, more rural cities, small towns, wide-open deserts, and mountain ridges that are covered with snow during the winter months. Each region has something of interest to offer, and people can easily live in a more rural area and commute to the bigger cities. People move here thinking it is all about Hollywood and movie stars, but Southern California has so much more to store than just that. If you enjoy living in an urban area that is close enough to the outdoors, then living in San Bernardino County or Riverside county might be a viable option for people who want to commute to LA, but also want to be closer to nature. The photos below offer a bit of the day-to-day experiences a person might have traveling and walking around Southern California. In the Inland Valley, our cities tend to be a bit more rural with open spaces, and mountains and deserts within a thirty-minute drive. This is definitely an area to explore if living in the LA metropolis is not for you.

On a Friday in early November there was a rainstorm, and toward the evening the clouds parted to show the most beautiful sights to behold. Just walking around I was able to capture these with my camera.

A few days later we had a bit more sun here in Southern California, but still some interesting clouds in the sky. Come with me to behold all the beautiful trees and other plant life we shall gaze upon.

The video above is of my two favorite palm trees glimmering in the sunshine. I have always thought of them as the palm tree twins.

Walking around on a sunny day it is quite enjoyable to see the way the sun hurts the foliage of the trees and how it castes shadows.

In the video above I show a 180 degree view of the mountains all around the San Bernardino Valley.

I just adore this cute little gazebo I see in a park that I walk by. It looks quite picturesque with the palm trees next to it.
