Photographing The Mountains of Southern California
Living in Southern California means living close to the scenic San Bernardino Mountains. As a hobby photographer, it is mesmerizing to capture the mood of a particular day, which is what I try to do with these photo galleries. Simply take a digital camera with you so you can capture pictures that are evocative of the place where you live. People from around the world may never visit your community, but you can share it with them via the web, and even create art through the lense. When I take picture of the beauty here in Southern California, I hope it brings a bit of joy to those who see it. Today there is this pervasive attitude of needing to acquire new material possessions, but I want to get back to enjoying the tranquility of nature via photography. Looking at pictures of nature and beautiful landscapes is a way for me to relax, and simply enjoy life. Taking pictures of the gorgeous landscape around you is always an ideal way to document life in your part of the world for future generations to enjoy.

On the drive down the mountain, I was able to capture many stunning views. I was not driving, by the way, so you should only take pictures if you are a passenger in the car.
The trip up and down Highway 18, also known as the Rim of the World Highway, is one of the most scenic drives here in Southern California.
On the trip down the mountain, you will continue to see spectacular views. Documenting this with a camera allows me to share this part of the world with those who will never be able to see it.
