Hiking in the San Bernardino Mountains is a geographically close option for Southern Californians who want to explore nature trails boasting magnificent trees, blue skies with cottony clouds, large boulders, and numerous forms of vegetation and animal life. If you are lucky, then you might even catch a glimpse of a bird that seems to just be floating through the air. However, if you are not so fortunate, then you might spot a bear running straight in front of you. Believe me, I will never go hiking by myself up in the San Bernardino Mountains again after a bear ran straight in front of me a few years ago. I always recommend hiking with others and taking a stick with you. Despite the natural dangers of the wild, the San Bernardino Mountains is still the ideal place for those who crave nature on the more isolated level than what you find at your local city park, I highly recommend a day trip to the San Bernardino Mountains.
