The Stunning Landscape of Southern California
Taking pictures of the tranquil Southern California landscape is just one way that I like to express my love of nature, especially when I am up in the San Bernardino Mountains. Also, the Inland Valley has open spaces that can be quite picturesque. I have always enjoyed living in this part of the world with the San Bernardino Mountains for the four seasons and pine trees, and the Inland Valley with palm trees year round, and orange blossoms in spring. Southern California has a little bit of everything, and even if you do not plan on living here, looking at pictures can at least give you an idea about planning a future trip. I sort of miss when the economy was good and we used to have lots of tourists that came here. Tourism is good for our economy, so I always encourage anyone thinking of a trip to consider sunny Southern California for the scenery, and things to do such as Disneyland, China Town in LA, or shopping and the beach in San Diego. This is primarily a photo essay about the San Bernardino Mountains, which illustrates the beauty of this particular part of SoCal.
The San Bernardino Mountains are located in Southern California.
Taking nature walks around the San Bernardino Mountains is a relaxing way to capture photography, and to just enjoy the birds, the flowers, and the trees.
One of my favorite aspects of photographing the ducks at Grass Valley Lake was noticing how their eyes looked green in the photographs I took at night. Photography is a wonderful thing to share with those who enjoy the trees, and little creatures such as ducks. Below is a video I created of Grass Valley Lake on another day, but it will give you a feel for this lake that is more like a pond.
