Making A Heart Inspired Sunset Card For Valentine's Day

Updated on October 12, 2016

Do you enjoy designing cards for Valentine's Day? Personally, I am not into using manufactured scrap book supplies to decorate a card because these cost extra money, so I prefer to draw my own images directly on the front of quarter-fold cards. So how do I make a quarter-fold card? What I do is a fold a blank sheet of paper in half, and then in a quarter, and viola, I have my quarter-fold card. Many people probably do not see the point of drawing an image directly on a blank card when they could used stamps and stickers from scrap booking supplies, and you should do that if it is what you really enjoy doing. However, if you like to draw pictures on your own, then please try drawing an image directly on the blank card. Even if you do not like drawing an image directly on the blank card, you can always print out your image on cards. The drawing I created for this Valentine's Day card is a heart inspired sunset, with the sitting sun turning into a heart for my card. The photos below illustrate how I created this handmade Valentine's Day card.

The photo above shows what the completed sunset inspired heart card looked like after I had finished coloring and drawing my original image. This image was inspired by the vibrant Southern California sunsets I see on a daily basis. As many people who follow my photography hubs know, Southern California is known for its magnificent sunsets.
