Garden Designs and Ideas With Flowers
Taking pictures of beautiful garden designs can be quite inspirational, to say the least. Who needs a regimented garden design when something that is a bit more wilderness inspired is just the thing. During the photo session for this hub, the kitten Stripey and the manx tuxedo cat Anastasia were adorable prancing around the garden, and they preened for the camera like models preparing for an important photo shoot. These two deft felines definitely keep the gophers at bay, which is something that is very helpful when gardening. Whenever I l look at pictures of flowers such as morning glories, I automatically feel calmer and at ease with the world. I will definitely be drawing some of these lovely pictures in the near future, and I am currently using a photograph of Stripey as inspiration for my new oil painting. When I create an oil painting I always like to have an outline photograph, and the features of Stripey prancing around the garden were very helpful when it came to drawing the outline of Maxx the cat for the painting. The old photograph of Maxx that I was working from was a bit blurry, so it was nice to have another photograph of a cat as a reference.
So if you need a break from the stress of your day, please feel free to join me in the garden for another delightful slide show filled with tomatoes, beans, and flowering plants. What are your favorite vegetables to eat out of the garden? I dream of eating tomatoes in a lovely salad as I glance through the photographs I took of this bountiful garden.
My favorite plant in the photo series above would be of the cayenne peppers because of their vibrant red hue. I love the spiciness these peppers lend to my dishes, and the pop of color inspires me to draw new pictures.
My favorite photograph from above would probably be the cats frolicking around the plants. Yes, I especially adore the image of Anastasia peering into the container. Also, it was quite nostalgic to glance at old photos of Stripey when she was a kitten, especially since she is a grown cat now.
Today when I go to make a salad I will dream of the leaf lettuce plants in the barrel I photographed above and wish my own container garden had some fresh lettuce leaves that were ready for picking. I adore the spicy flair that nasturtiums add to salads, and these are evocative of my childhood. I remember coming home from school to pick nasturtiums to put in salads, or just eat own their own.
