Is it time to plant the flower bed for spring? If so, then you will not be disappointed because tulip and daffodils are easy to sow, and are some of the most simplistically elegant flowers around. On a trip to the San Bernardino Mountains in late April I took many pictures of the spring flowers planted up there. Tulips and daffodils are not native to the San Bernardino Mountains, but these flowers flourish when planted up there due to the four seasons, which are not really experienced in other parts of Southern California. So if you enjoy looking at beautiful flowers, or are just curious about what your spring flowers might look like this spring, then take a gander at the refreshing floral photographs in this hub. All of the photographs and text of this hub were created by me, J Hanna, and may not be copied without my permission.

There is nothing more enjoyable than looking at a cluster of tulips on a late April morning in the San Bernardino Mountains. I especially love the orange and red stripes on the tulips in the video above. Watch it now to see how amazing these flowers truly are. Simple yet amazing!

A few months after you plant your tulip bulbs, hopefully you will have some magnificent blooms like the one of the yellow daffodil above.

The cluster of red and orange striped tulips above intrigues me, and I photographed it more than once.

My favorite hyacinth color is pink because it reminds me of a fancy dress a woman might wear to a ball, which is first thought I had about these blooms when I was a child.

Of all of the tulip pictures I took on this day back in April of 2011, the one above happens to be one of my favorites out of the entire series. I am glad I am finally getting around to posting it here, and I love how the solitary red tulip stands out with the yellow tulips around him.

In the photo above I especially love how stunning the red and white striped tulip looks next to the yellow tulip, and all of the smaller daffodils. The red and white striped tulip reminds me of a candy cane, and since it is almost that holiday again as I am writing this, I especially am enjoying this flower right now!

I took of a picture of these vinca flowers, which usually bloom between April and June up in the San Bernardino Mountains. As a child I remember finding many hillsides covered in vinca.

In the photo above there are pink hyacinths surrounded by cute little purple hyacinth flowers.

Above is a video I created of Annie cat walking around the tulips and daffodils. Annie is a manx cat, and looks quite cute prancing around in the flower bed.
