Beautiful Pictures In The San Bernardino Mountains

Updated on August 13, 2016

The San Bernardino Mountains is a place of beauty and tranquility. Surrounded by urban areas in the population dense Southern California, the San Bernardino Mountains is a location where people can retreat from the hub-bub. Many families opt to move to the mountains because this is a good place to raise kids, but single people often move to the mountains just to have more peace and quiet. The San Bernardino Mountains are about an hour drive from major cities in the San Bernardino Valley, so the commute is not that far if you want to move up there. Also, pedestrians can use MARTA dial a ride to get up and down the mountain at an affordable cost. If you just want to visit the San Bernardino Mountains for the week or the day, there are many accommodations and activities to choose from year around. If you are driving to the San Bernardino Mountains it is eighty miles east of the Los Angeles region, and you can use Google Maps to plan out your route. Pedestrians can also use Googe Maps to plan out their route using public transportation systems such as Metrolink, Omnitrans, and MARTA.

Photographing the moon over the fence was quite appealing to me.  It made me feel like there was a barrier between me and the moon, although this is only an illusion created by the photograph.

Local Trips That Are Affordable

Traveling to the San Bernardino Mountains is an affordable local trip for Southern California residents.  Also, if you live in another part of the US or another country, traveling to Lake Arrowhead is actually cheaper than it has been in along time.  I have seen many good deals in hotels with the faltering economy.  This area has longed depended on tourism being a resort community, so you can find many good deals year around.

Taking Pictures Up In The San Bernardino Mountains

Do not forget to bring your camera when you go up the San Bernardino Mountains so you can take pictures of all of the beautiful scenery.  If you are not able to travel to Lake Arrowhead then this picture essay will at least let your travel via the Internet.  One of the reasons I love photo essays is because these enable me to explore parts of the world I may never be able to see in person.  I love reading books about various locations around the world, but Hubpage photo essays and blogs allow me to see these places first hand through the eyes of a person that lives there.  A book may not always have such fresh and update information.
