Beautiful Garden Pictures: Photography of Growing Plants
78Gardening pictures can be enjoyable for people who love to garden, or those who just love to get behind the camera. I attribute beautiful garden pictures to the attractive plants, flowers, and two cats that like to play in a garden up in the San Bernardino Mountains. Creating a photo essay with imagery that I find soothing is very meditative, and actually a form of visual meditation. So when I want to feel content, or just want new inspiration for my artwork, I usually grab my camera and take some pictures in a garden. Photographing Sweety and Annie cat is usually enough inspiration to get me thinking about my next art project, especially since I love to draw pictures of cats.
One day in June of 2011, I documented the early stages of a summer garden with my camera. The plants, Annie cat, and Sweety cat are the stars of this photo essay.
Meandering through the garden gives me an opportunity to gaze a the beauty of the plants and flowers. It is quite meditative as well. Photographing a garden is like visual yoga, for me it is anyway.
Cats playing in garden are enticing to photograph, especially when they are surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers.
I also enjoyed photographing the bird bath in the garden, but unfortunately no birds were around at that moment in time because Sweety cat and Annie cat were playing around. The birds are smart creatures and always take off when a cat shows up. Another thing I photographed were the bean plants that were beginning to grow in June of 2011, when the summer garden had just been planted.
Later in June I take more pictures of the flowers and plants up in a garden, a mile high above the San Bernardino Valley. The San Bernardino Mountains is a place where there are four seasons in Southern California, and summer is the prime growing season.
The garden can be a very inspirational place, and you can even find artwork and picture frames to remind yourself of gardening during the bleak part of winter.

Nice hub...photo hub! Love the photos and like VioletSun, love that cat the most. :) Thanks for a great time in viewing the lovely plants and landscaping as well.
Lovely rosemary! I'm growing some now, but it's not nearly as healthy as that yet.
This is a beautiful garden and I'm green with envy. The cats add a nice touch. I hope they also help keep those gophers at bay. We have a gopher problem here on the Central Coast, too, but they were nothing compared to the ground squirrels that wiped out everything I planted but the herbs two years ago.
What are you planning to do with all those tomatoes?
Great feelings watching those pictures. I like the picture of lettuce, simply beautiful. Vote up and beautiful.
Well, it's indoors, which probably helps. :)

SP: I enjoyed looking at all the photos but the cats are my favorite, :); The lettuce photo had me open my eyes very wide. Wow. I didn't know we could grow lettuce in containers. Very inspiring and motivating for me!
