There are many amazing sights to behold up in the San Bernardino Mountains. The San Bernardino National Forest is eighty miles east of Los Angeles, and motorists can plan a trip to this vicinity using Google Maps. When you come up to the San Bernardino Mountains you might want to plan out your accommodations in advance using the Internet, which will give you ideas about where to stay. If you live in Southern California, you could always just drive up for the day to enjoy the scenery, and to get away from the hubbub of the valley. Life in the San Bernardino Mountains is a bit slower, and you will definitely see birds, coyotes, and other wildlife during a trip up here. I will recommend that you will not want to see a bear if you are out in the forest by yourself, which I can tell you from experience is quite scary indeed. Taking pictures of nature is quite inspiring and refreshing, so I will be sharing a few more of mine in this travel photo essay.

Can you imagine what it would be like to be a tree laden with snow after a storm? I used to imagine what that would be like as a child after seeing the branches of various trees weighed down with snow.

After a snow storm, everything up in the San Bernardino Mountains is covered with the white frozen matter. However, at sunset you can see brilliant ranges of colors in the sky, and the silhouettes of the mountains and the trees create interesting shapes.
